Romance will reign at Sibaya during the
month of February, with its restaurants turning up the charm in celebration of
Valentine’s Day as well as an intimate show by the enigmatic Arno Carstens at
the Rockwood Theatre on February 14, 2018.
As a superlative treat for his fans,
Carstens will perform his Intimate Sessions Show which will include hits from
his career as front man of The Springbok Nude Girls, many of the beloved and
most celebrated songs from his career as a platinum selling, award winning
English solo artist, and some popular cover tracks.
Carstens needs little introduction. He is a
platinum-selling, award winning, singer-songwriter and has released 12 albums;
five as lead singer of Springbok Nude Girls, one as part of Electronica project
Bhelltower and six as a solo artist. He has also had over 20 top ten singles
and won five SAMA Awards including Best Rock Album in 2004 for Another Universe
and Best Adult Contemporary Album in 2006 for The Hello Goodbye Boys.
During his 20 year career, Carstens has
performed with U2, The Rolling Stones and REM; headlined every major South
African music festival; and performed at some of the most legendary and
exclusive international music festivals including Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, V
Festival and Hard Rock Calling.
