The iconic Durban Fashion Fair (DFF), presented
by the eThekwini Municipality will be hosting an open model casting.
Now in its 7th year, this fashion
extravaganza boasts an array of international, national and emerging designers
showcasing their creations on the catwalk and has thus become a highlight on
the annual fashion calendar.
Not only has the eThekwini Municipality
firmly backed the designers, the City has also created another platform for new
faces/potential models, giving them an opportunity to break into the modelling
industry.
EThekwini Municipality will host Open Model
Scouting days for men and women who have not yet signed up to a model agency to
model at the Durban Fashion Fair 2018 which is earmarked for August at the ICC
this year!
You need no experience or photographs. All
selected individuals will be trained professionally to walk on a runway.
All aspirant/ new face models must be in
good physical shape and must be between the ages of 16 to 35 years of age and
have a valid ID document to bring with them to the casting: Ladies must have a
minimum height without heels of 1.75 metres tall with a hip measurement of
between 90 to 92 cm. Ladies must wear minimal makeup, body-fitting clothing (no
jeans) and wear heels. Young men must be no less than 1.83 metres tall and fit
into a size 30 to 32 trouser. They must wear a form fitted t-shirt/shirt and
closed shoes or trainers.
The casting will take place at the Durban
Exhibition Centre in Hall 6 (across the road from the Durban Workshop Shopping
Centre) on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10 starting at 09h00 sharp to
register.
