Get
Back – Tribute to the Music of the Beatles is the
title of a show to be presented by well-known saxophonist Andrew Young at Crawford
College in Tongaat on March 2 at 19h00.
Through music, film, pictures and anecdotes,
Young takes the audience on a journey of his life growing up in Liverpool and
plays the songs that have influenced him and a generation of musicians.
The programme includes classic songs from
Liverpool such as Hey Jude, Imagine,
Yesterday, I Saw Her Standing There, A Hard Day’s Night, The Long And Winding
Road, Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, Let It Be, Ferry Cross The Mersey and You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Young is pleased to feature Quattro Femmes
String Quartet in the programme as well as his band of Durban’s finest
musicians. Get Back has been
performed in Europe, China and South Africa and has received the highest
reviews.
