you are about to hear at the KZN Philharmonic’s regular concert seasons by
attending the Friends of Music’s pre-concert lectures from 18h00 to 18h40 every
Thursday evening during the Summer Season in the Alhambra Room at The
Playhouse.
Entry is just R15. Refreshments and light
snacks may be purchased in the foyer after the talk.
The speaker tonight (February 22) for the
opening concert of the Summer Symphony Season is Andrew Warburton.
The concert itself takes place at 19h30 in
the Playhouse Opera. The conductor is Daniel Boico with soloist pianist Anna
Dmytrenko. The programme includes Liszt: Les préludes, S.97 (Symphonic Poem No.
3); Saint-Saëns: Piano Concerto No. 2 in g minor, Op. 22 and Tchaikovsky:
Symphony No. 4 in f minor, Op. 36
