Husband and wife team Aaron McIlroy and
Lisa Bobbert are back with their hilarious comedy, Marriage for Dummies. Being one of Durban’s most loved comedy duos,
it was no surprise that their performance left the audience in stitches!
The show is tactically structured as a
“marriage seminar” and the audience is treated to different chapters of the
trials and tribulations that come with being married and essentially, staying
married.
The topic of marriage itself can often be
turned into comic brilliance, but it was their hysterical breakaways into song,
lyrical changes, and multiple characters that were made up of simple, yet
relatable characteristics that make this stand out from the rest.
Bobbert and McIlroy both play characters,
which have the perfect amount of sass and brilliance to keep you wanting more
and practically off your seat. Whether you’re married, been married or haven’t
even thought of marriage, this is the ideal date night comedy!
