Peppa Pig, star of Entertainment One’s
phenomenally successful preschool TV show, is coming to South Africa as a stage
production Peppa Pig Live in South Africa.
The first ever nationwide stage show tour
for Peppa and friends will come to The Playhouse Company, Durban from April 20
to 22, 2018.
Peppa
Pig Live in South Africa is an action-packed
rollicking stage show, based on the award-winning television series (broadcast
locally on e.tv and DStv), especially designed to give young fans an
unforgettable first live theatre experience. A fully immersive musical
production featuring a dozen familiar and original songs, as well as an interactive
sing-a-long, the live stage show will have fans laughing, cheering and dancing
– just like Peppa!
Since its first broadcast in May 2004, the
Peppa Pig pre-school animated television series captivated the five years and
under-age group to become a global phenomenon, broadcast in over 180
territories. Moving from the small screen to the stage, Peppa Pig Live in South Africa brings Peppa, George, Mummy Pig,
Daddy Pig and Peppa’s many friends to life in a fantastic adventure filled with
buckets of surprises and plenty of muddy puddles!
Performances in Durban take place daily at
10h00 and 12h30 from April 20 to 22 at the Playhouse Theatre. The show’s
duration is 80 minutes including 20-minute intermission.
