epic that won 11 Oscars. Directed by William Wyler in 1959, the film stars Charlton
Heston, Jack Hawkins and Stephen Boyd.
Filled with danger and vengeance, a Jewish prince is falsely
accused of treason and is sold into slavery, but he returns to seek redemption.
Heston plays a Palestinian Jew who is battling the Roman empire
at the time of Christ. His actions send him and his family into slavery, but an
inspirational encounter with Jesus changes everything. Heston finally meets his
rival in a justly famous chariot race and rescues his suffering family.
