The KZN Music Imbizo is an international music business conference that is hosted in Durban, South Africa. The 2018 conference takes place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium from August 23 to 25. It collects various music industry stakeholders under one roof to map the way forward for the music industry in the continent – Africa. It is a platform to exhibit, network, share expertise and knowledge plus showcase some of the best talent in the world.

The 2018 theme for the conference is: NO BORDERS – LET THE MUSIC TRAVEL. The three days (pillars) of the conference being: Revenue Streams, Marketing & Advertising and Stage & Performance.

The theme is centred on the movement/mobility of music and musicians. How music spreads across the world – the many ways that it reaches the target audience. The conference will look at music mobility, digital distribution, marketing & advertising, film scoring and touring. The impact of VISAs, bilateral agreements and the political environment on the music industry. All these will form part of the three-day programme.
