The
Centre for Visual Art (CVA) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) is
currently hosting the Works in Progress
exhibit at the Jack Heath Gallery in Pietermaritzburg.
The
Centre has a growing postgraduate programme, with postgraduate diploma,
honours, masters and PhD students producing original works.
Lecturer
at the CVA, Dr Kathy Arbuckle says, “We have students specialising in ceramics,
printmaking, painting and drawing, digital media, and many are working across
media in interdisciplinary ways, which is a hallmark of contemporary art
practice.”

Exhibiting
students include Anda Dodo, Jaap Jacobs, May Okafor, Penny Forder and Nina
Calder.
The
exhibition runs until March 30, 2018. The Jack Heath Gallery is situated at the
Centre For Visual Arts on the UKZN Pietermaritzburg campus in Ridge Road,
Pietermaritzburg.
