First Thursday at The KZNSA Gallery promises to be an eclectic
experience with the best in local art and culture. Taking place on April 5 from
17h00 it will feature live music, exhibitions, local shopping, and food and
drink.
Nipho, this month’s featured artist, is a growing name in Durban. The 23
year-old artist has been a back-up singer for Madala Kunene, performed at
Interpret Durban and performed at many Durban creative spaces. Soulful to her
core, Nipho Hurd makes music "for messages and healing and to tell of
stories and lessons learnt. Music speaking of ancestors and future
generations."
Nipho will be joined by guitarist Josh Swanson.
Enjoy art viewing with two exhibitions, Accid3nt of Place by Peter Ford in the Main & Mezzanine
Galleries, and a pop-up exhibition by an art school run by Heather Fitchet Art
Group in the glass box and cafe area.
The cafe and bar will be open for a bite to eat and after-work
refreshments or an early supper with the family (child-friendly space). Entrance
is free, all are welcome.
The KZNSA Gallery
is situated at 166 Bulwer Road,
