(Natalie
Rungan)
The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music will
present powerhouse vocalist Natalie Rungan on Wednesday (April 18, 2018) in her
show, Unforgettable.
Rungan, who needs little introduction to
local audiences, is taking to the stage at UKZN’S Jazz Centre which she
considers to be the place where her career started. Having built a reputation
for almost two decades as a professional singer, arranger, writer and producer,
and who now has five albums under her belt, Rungan’s velvet voice continues to
leave audiences inspired and amazed.
Joined by what can only be described as an
“all star band”, Rungan brings us Unforgettable
- a collection of Jazz and Pop classics that is bound to get your feet tapping
and pull on your heartstrings.
With Neil Gonsalves and Calli Thomson on
keyboards, Llewelyn Chetty on bass, Bruce Baker on drums and Mxolisi Mdlalose
on saxophone, you really don’t want to miss this show. From jazz to funk,
smooth jazz, rock and pop, Unforgettable
promises to be just that- Unforgettable.
Unforgettable takes place on April 18 at 18h00 at the Centre for Jazz and Popular
Music (CJPM), University of KwaZulu-Natal, Howard College Level 2, Shepstone
Building on the UKZN Howard College Campus. General entry R80 (R50 pensioners, R25
