Directed by Baran bo Odar in 2018, Sleepless is a crime drama starring Jamie Foxx, Michelle Monaghan
and Dermot Mulroney in which actions have consequences.
Two crooked cops try to steal from the mob and in
retaliation the ruthless mafia kidnaps one of their sons.
In Las Vegas, vice LVMPD policemen Vincent Downs (Jamie
Foxx) and Sean Cass rob a shipment of cocaine belonging to entrepreneur Stanley
Rubino (Dermot Mulroney), who intended to sell it to mobster Rob Novak, the son
of a powerful mob boss. They volunteer to investigate the robbery in order to
cover up their involvement, clashing with Internal Affairs investigators
Jennifer Bryant (Michelle Monaghan) and Doug Dennison, who are suspicious of
their involvement.
It is also revealed that Vincent is estranged from his wife
Dena, who is getting remarried, and has minimal involvement in the life of his
16-year-old son Thomas.
Sleepless will be
screened on M-Net Movies Premiere DStv Channel 104 on April 7, 2018, at 20h00. Rating
