CROSSROADS

(Rusty Red)

Rhumbelow Theatre at Tina’s Hotel in Kloof will present a Rusty Red Production this weekend.

Titled Crossroads, it is a tribute to Eric Clapton & Friends featuring Rusty Red, Chris Melling on drums and Skippy Kubheka on bass guitar. The trio will meet you at the Crossroads and take you on a journey through a soundtrack driven by blues icons: Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix and more.

The show will highlight Eric Clapton’s greatest hits from his early days in Cream, The Yardbirds and as a solo artist, a career that has spanned more than four decades and has earned him a triple induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Eric Clapton drew inspiration from BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters among other Blues legends, and in turn Clapton inspired modern Blues musicians including the likes of John Mayer. His influence and collaborations have earned him 18 Grammy Awards, of which our own Blues craftsmen will showcase your favourites in this stellar performance.

The show will transport you through the latest and the greatest hits including Before you accuse me, Lay down Sally, Crossroads, Change The World, Pride and Joy, Little Wing, Wonderful tonight, Slow Dancing in a burning room and many more.

Performances take place on May 25 and 26 at 20h00 and on May 27 at 14h00. (The theatre venue opens 60 minutes before show for drinks)
