Some of South Africa, Namibia and
Zimbabwe’s best show-jumpers will descend on the Shongweni Club Showgrounds for
The Shongweni Festival which takes place from August 8 to 12, 2018.
Show-jumping is a sport where men and women
of various ages all compete on the same level.
Spectators can look forward to plenty of adrenalin-filled action as well
as high glamour as competitors include the likes of ex Miss South Africa,
Heather Mostert, (nee Hamilton, of Hillcrest), who recently stood out at the
celebration of the 60th Miss SA contest.
Another beautiful competitor and
accomplished sportswoman is Jodi Pieters (from Drummond), who has climbed Mount
Everest and excelled in the Iron Man contest.
The event, which runs over Women’s Day on August
9, offers great outdoor entertainment, with plenty of thrills and spills.
Family activities include clothing, food and beverage stalls, licensed
restaurant, kiddies play area and the opportunities to test drive the Land
Rover & Jaguar model line-up, including the All New Discovery!
