Friends of Music in partnership with
iGrandiTenori will present a Christmas
Music Extravaganza on December 18, 2018.
The programme will feature The iGrandi
Tenori Tenors, Mlindi Pato and Timothy Sehau. After a successful international
debut in Singapore they have returned home to celebrate Christmas in Durban
with exciting sacred music and Christmas Carols.
Supporting the tenors will be guest artists
soprano Nontobeko Bhengu (2017 Let Me
Sing Winner); baritone Philani Mdima ( 2018 Let Me Sing winner); baritone Sbani Mwelase; mezzo soprano Phindile
Cele and soprano Dorh Mfayela.
They will be accompanied by the Le Lounge
String Ensemble and on piano by the Musical Director of the concert, the
inimitable Sanele Mkhize.
The programme includes When Jesus Comes; Ave Maria; Pie Jesu; Oh Danny Boy; How Beautiful are
the Feet; The Lord's Prayer; The Holy City; We Three Kings; Silent Night; Away
in a Manger; Hark the Herald; O Come all Ye Faithful; Oh Holy Night and Joy to the World.
Doors open at 17h00 with a Wine Tasting by
the Diemersfontein Wine Estate. The venue will be laid out with tables so that
patrons can bring their picnic baskets and enjoy some Christmas fare while
listening to some of the best voices in KZN
Christmas
Music Extravaganza will be performed at 18h00 on
December 18, 2018, at the Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road,
Durban. Tickets R100 available at the door.
