The KNSA Gallery will host a Free Hand Lettering Workshop tomorrow (Sunday,
December 9, 2018) from 10h00 to 12 noon.
"Advice From Songs"
is an exhibition of banners with really good advice from really great songs,
which will be shown as part of the Fresha Outdoor Theatre Festival which runs
on North Beach in Durban from January 18 to 20, 2019.
Some of the work shown will be from the Swiss artist Marcus Kraft's
collection of "pop music wisdom" (www.popmusicwisdom.com) and some
will be created by local artists. Those interested are invited to create their
own work, by bringing their favourite piece of advice from a song, and bringing
along some music for inspiration. The workshop will be hosted by Twist
Projects, who co-ordinate the Fresha Festival, and will be facilitated by
artist Fathima Kathrada.
The workshop is free of charge. All materials will be provided, and all
ages are welcome. Please book through the KZNSA.
