(Mim

Burns
Night - and all things Scottish is a Burns supper celebration
that pays tribute to the life, music and poetry of the Scottish poet Robert
Burns at Rhumbelow Tina’s Hotel in Kloof from January 25 to 27.
The suppers are normally held on or near
the poet's birthday, January 25, occasionally known as Robert Burns Day (or
Robbie Burns Day or Rabbie Burns Day) but more commonly known as Burns Night
(Scots: Burns Nicht).
Scottish songs, stories and great fun are
the order of the day for this celebration of the life and times of Robert
Burns, the Bard of Scotland.
Mim Erasmus, KZN’s very own Minstrel, and
Frank Graham, raconteur and storyteller de
luxe, need no introduction, and Rhumbelow guarantees a night of fabulous
music and rib hugging hilarity.
“We all know Burns songs like Ye banks and braes and My love is like a red, red rose, and Mim
will sing these and others you can sing with. Frank will regale us with other
stories, Burns poems and tall tales to complete the evening’s entertainment. Pipers,
piping hot haggis and a few good whiskies will guarantee you an evening to
remember,” says Roland Stansell who runs Rhumbelow Theatre.
