Oh what a Wonderful
Life
is an art exhibition to be held at Etchings etc by the well-known local artist,
Shirley Howells.
Etchings etc will be showcasing existing, as well as new art by well-known
Durban based oil painting artist, Shirley Howells, whose work spans over 20
years and Etchings etc is proud to be associated with this very talented
artist.
In support of the Kloof SPCA, Howells has donated a painting which will
be raffled. Tickets are available at Etchings etc and the draw will be on the
opening night of the exhibition.

Howells is in her 80’s and has been painting full-time ever since she
retired from corporate life. She has won various art awards over the last 16
years and has been published in an international book on Still Life. She has
been featured several times in the SA Artist magazine and has had work included
in the collections of notable collectors.
Etchings etc is an Art Gallery and Picture Framing business in Durban
North. The Gallery has been in its current location for 25 years. Alan and
Terence took over the gallery last year, and have given it a fresh, updated
look and have been holding regular functions and exhibitions, showcasing the
art of local South African artists. There is a wide selection of Art on display
in the gallery, ranging from well-known artists, decorative art, as well as up-and-coming
artists. Alan and Terence have tried to cater for a wide customer base and
taste. The gallery also has its own onsite workshop for framing.
Oh what a Wonderful
Life
opens at Etchings etc at 18h00 on March 27 (light snacks and drinks will be
served) and will run until April 12, 2019.
Etchings etc is situated at Shop 10, Park Boulevard, 11 Browns Drift
Road, Umgeni Park, Durban North.
