Calling all singers and aspiring actors!
Westville Boys’ High School will present William Shakespeare’s Richard III from May 14 to19, 2019, in
the Roy Couzens Theatre (RCT).
Auditions
for this Steampunk-themed interpretation of Shakespeare’s most gruesome historical
play take place at the school in the RCT as follows:
Wednesday, March 6 from 14h30 to 17h00
Thursday, March 7 from 14h30 to 17h00
Friday, March 8 from 14h15 to 16h30
Actors are required to present either a 30-second
Shakespearean soliloquy or any classical monologue. Singers are required to
sing, unaccompanied, a 30 second song in either the classical or jazz genre.
There will be no rehearsals during the
March holiday, but that rehearsals will take place over the long weekends at
the end of April and early May.
