With new edgy reality series, breakout
relationship shows, made for TV movies and hot new seasons of old favourites;
Lifetime (DStv 131) is looking fierce.
The latest season of the wildly popular
reality series Little Women Atlanta
returns on Wednesday May 1 at 19h55. There are big changes this season as some
of the ladies start making a big name for themselves on Atlanta’s notable
hip-hop scene. Amanda and Andrea are getting the Tiny Twinz back in action by
venturing into the music industry and Minnie is hosting a podcast with a
renowned rapper. Just as the group says goodbye to Monie they welcome back ‘The
Cheeks’, not everyone is happy as they still haven’t squashed their beef with the
Twinz.
It’s never too late for big life changes in
season 8 of Little Women LA, which
will air every Thursday at 19h55 (starting July 4). For Tonya that means
finally defining her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Jaa, but her co-stars
once again meddle and make things awkward. After going under the knife in
weight loss surgery at the end of season 7, Christy now has her sights set on a
dream she’s had for years. Meanwhile, Elena expands on her entrepreneurial
ambitions even further and Terra deals with her daughter’s health concerns.
Reality highs and lows of another kind
dance onto your screen in July. Abby Lee Miller, from Dance Moms, is back with Dance
Moms season 8 on July 22 at 19h55. Despite a prison sentence and then being
diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Abby Lee has proven she is not ready to
hang up her dance shoes just yet. Her fighting spirit is clear when she tells
her dancers, “I fought hard to be here, and you have to be a fighter, too...
you have to fight to be a champion.” There is no doubt that you’ll be rooting
for Abby Lee as she puts her life, health and dance studio back together this
season.
In a far more elegant affair, Lifetime’s
newest movie about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship, Becoming Royal, will premiere on DStv
131 on June 9 at 19h20. The film follows on from last year’s hit movie Royal Romance. It pulls back the curtain
on their love story to reveal both the ups and downs of life inside the royal
family.
Then, in the bold breakout relationship
series Single Wives, dating coach
Matthew Hussey re-teaches four divorced or widowed women how to get back in the
game. He equips them with the ins-and-outs of the dating world, what men are
thinking and how to get their attention. This unconventional relationship
series will have your jaw dropping every Tuesday at 19h55, starting June 25.
Another off-beat and highly addictive
reality series The Toe Bro comes to
Lifetime in May. Every Thursday at 19h55 (starting May 23) foot specialist,
Jonathan Tomines treats a range of shocking foot problems for patients who come
from far and wide, looking for help. You’ll be surprised how the cringe-worthy
procedures are oddly satisfying to watch. It helps that Jonathan is easy on the
eyes, which makes up for some of the gross foot conditions.
From dancing divas to funky feet and sassy
sisters, Lifetime will have you riveted in the coming months. Cosy up with a
warm cup of hot chocolate and tune in to DStv 131 to #LoveLifetime this winter.
