“The 17th Isicathamiya Choir Summit that
took place on May 10, 2019, at the Playhouse was a huge success,” says Chris
Ntuli, who initiated the whole project through his isicathamiya group, Durban Black
Drifters.
The winners are as follows:
1st prize went to Sithabile Secondary School
from Amatikwe, Inanda - R25,000 with a trophy.
2nd prize went to Nombika Secondary School
from Ndwedwe - R15,000 with a trophy.
3rd prize went to Nqabakazulu School from
Kwa Mashu - R10,000 with a trophy.

honoured with a lifetime achievement award by Playhouse Company and DBD Entertainment.
