Administered by ACT, funded by DALRO and the Nedbank Arts Affinity and
supported by The Market Theatre, the 2019 ACT | DALRO | Nedbank Scholarships
are in their tenth year of existence- a milestone year which coincides with
ACT’s 25th year of existence. Nedbank Head of Group Sponsorships and Cause
Marketing Tobie Badenhorst says “We are proud to be associated with ACT through
the Nedbank Arts Affinity Programme and, more specifically, of the role that we
play in empowering and inspiring young artists by creating opportunities in
performing and visual arts. In our 25-year partnership with ACT, we have made
funding of more than R20 million available for the development of South
Africa’s arts and culture sector. We look forward to continuing this journey
with a focus on education through the ACT | DALRO | Nedbank Scholarship
programme.”
ACT CEO Marcus Desando says “Ten years of administering the ACT | DALRO
| Nedbank Scholarships is an important milestone that we can be very proud of
as an organisation. Through this programme, ACT has invested in increased
access to higher education of our talented youth and will continue to do so
this year. As we celebrate our 25th year of existence, we look forward to
continuing the work of being positive change makers in the creative economy.”
