DOUBLE TROUBLE REVIEW

(Adi Paxton & Heather Barclay-Whiffin)

Versatile entertainers bring all their considerable skills an experience to bear to produce a delightful and funny story which kept the children in the audience enthralled and entertained until the end. (Review by Keith Millar)

Durban’s Rhumbelow Theatre in Umbilo enters its third week of exciting holiday productions for children with the entertaining Double Trouble – A Clown Adventure.

The show features popular Durban entertainer Adi Paxton as her alter ego, Cherry the Clown. Cherry is joined on this occasion by her friend Dilly, played by Heather Barclay-Whiffin.

The two clowns are being harassed by the evil Mad Magician, Malevelo. He is wants to put an end all happiness and laughter in the world and is determined to stop the clowns from bringing joy to the children.

Cherry and Dilly, however, are too clever for Malevelo and with plenty of magic tricks, riddles and enthusiastic vocal help from the children in the audience are able to thwart his evil plans and get rid of him forever.

Paxton and Barclay- Whiffin are both very versatile entertainers and have considerable experience in children’s theatre. In Double Trouble – A Clown Adventure, they bring all their considerable skills and experience to bear to produce a delightful and funny story which kept the children in the audience enthralled and entertained until the end

Equally enjoyed was the colouring in competition which followed the show.

My co-reviewer. seven year old Landon, gave the show a double thumbs-up.
