The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music at
the University of KwaZulu-Natal will present The Riley G Collective part 2 on July

Riley G is a Durban-based drummer who
performs with various bands playing different styles of music such as Jazz,
Pop, Latin Jazz, House and Soul. He is currently the drum teacher at Kearsney
College and also teaches music privately. He has performed with many artists
such as Jan Lundgren, Hugh Masekela, Raphael Clarkson and Lloyd Cele to name a

electric/acoustic, rooted in the realm of Jazz with African and European
influences. The band will perform Riley’s compositions as well as some of his
arrangements of jazz standards and popular music.
