COPY DOG TO OPEN THEATRE IN KNYSNA

Formerly based in Durban for many years, The Copy Dog team – William Charlton-Perkins, Clinton Marius and Riaan Timson - is delighted to announce that they are opening a theatre in Knysna.

Situated in one of the town’s most iconic heritage buildings, The Knysna Theatre aims to be a home for the performing arts in the area, to nurture and serve as a platform for emerging talent, and to be a regular stop for South Africa’s favourite entertainers.

While the venue, with its beautiful yellowwood interiors, upper and lower floors, and a charming stage once served as a theatre, the reality is that it is now in need of some infrastructure that was stripped away.

To this end, Copy Dog is launching a crowdfunding campaign to appeal for donations, in order to finance the costs of these repairs and upgrades.

If you would like to support Copy Dog as a thank-you for all the work they did in Durban or to help the Performing Arts in Knysna and see the theatre sustain itself until fully established, contact knysnatheatre@gmail.com
