is a puppetry production to run in the Playhouse from September 5 to 15, 2019.
The show features Zanele Mhlongo and
Londiwe Ngwazi.
Lillian, a domestic worker and her daughter
Gugu, are making a new home for themselves. They have found some land and they
begin to build. Others join them on the site and a small township develops. The
story tells of their lives, their hopes, their loves and the effects on them of
emigrating employers, police raids, teenage pregnancy, scabengas high on
Whoonga and local gangsters.
The show runs from September 5 to 15 at the
Playhouse in the Grand Foyer.
Duration one hour with performances at 19h00 and
matinees on September 7 and 14 at 14h00. (No under 10's).
