Well-known Durban actor and director Menzi
Mkhwane will be holding auditions on Friday (August 23, 2019)
“This is for an animal theatre piece, a
two-hander which I will perform with an actor, “he explains. “I will train and
cast to perform in this specific style. (Moving and performing like animals).
"The show is called Ingonyama and I
will be using my animal theatre training which I learnt in Horn Of Sorrow to perform the work with the performer.
“Actor must be fluent in IsiZulu and
English. Must be able to sing and also move reasonably well with their bodies. If
that is not you, this is not the audition for you!” he adds.
Audition will involve a lot of physical
theatre!
The play is for a young audiences - it's a Children's
theatre piece.
