BURN THE FLOOR AT SIBAYA

The hottest ballroom spectacular returns to South Africa in September when some of the world’s best dance champions will Burn the Floor at Sibaya’s iZulu Theatre. Burn The Floor has been described as "striking and inventive", "dazzling", "irresistible" and "gloriously sinful", and is bound to leave audiences gasping for breath as the talented dancers of this production glide across the stage.

From a seriously romantic waltz to a futuristic foxtrot and passionate paso doble, the expert choreography by Peta Roby and execution by the dancers, Burn the Floor will have dance fans in its grips from start to finish. Revel in the emotional power of the cha-cha, the samba and the jive and hold on to your jaw as the smoking rumba unfolds.

This year’s instalment of the production accurately named The Rebels of Ballroom is set to be more sizzling than ever before. Burn The Floor is one of the world’s most prolific ballroom and theatre productions and is said to have revolutionised the image of ballroom across the globe. It has a reputation of being the world’s toughest dance show, which is why it features the best international cast of dance champions who are handpicked for their outstanding skill and, as is the case this year, their rebellious spirit.

South Africans can proudly attend and be on the lookout for South African Latin dancing champion, Kylee Brown.  Furthermore, the dynamic vocals of local songstress, Lelo Ramasimong, are also featured as part of this mind-blowing production. Lelo was one of the top ten Idols in the popular Idols SA show a few years back and also one of the top performers on The Voice SA.

Also featured as part of this show, is the excellent combination of dance with loved music by the likes of Rag and Boneman, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Santana, Janis Joplin, and Led Zeppelin.

“It is a thrill and a privilege to host the Durban leg of this exceptional dance extravaganza. When it comes to dance, shows this is the ultimate,” says Janet Pillay, the PR and Promotions Manager at Sibaya.

Don’t miss Burn the Floor at Sibaya from September 12 and 29, 2019.  Tickets R285 available from Computicket or via Checkers and Shoprite retail stores, countrywide.
