HAPPY SPRING DAY FROM HILTON ARTS FESTIVAL

(Bryan Hiles & Cara Roberts)

Spring is here and so is the Hilton Arts Festival. With only 12 days to go, the organisers hope festival-goers are already planning their fest.

Spring has arrived! This means that the 27th Hilton Festival is a mere 12 days away. Don’t be fooled by the work “spring” …you may need snow gear or a bathing costume … or both!

Getting ready for the change in season and the Festival are performers Bryan Hiles and Cara Roberts.

They are both planning busy festival. Bryan will direct Grandpa Grump and the Magical Junkshop and perform in Knot Again; The Forgotten Years of Donald K Pumpkin and The Great Big Enormous Turnip. Cara will be performing with Bryan in The Great Big Enormous Turnip and A Place of Small Miracles, and solo in Michael Broderick’s whimsical The King of Broken Things. Many of the country’s top theatre-makers and artists will be heading to the Midlands for the annual Hilton Arts Festival from September 13 to 15 which offers an artistic smorgasbord from serious music to stand-up comedy and everything in between.

The Hilton Arts Festival runs from September 13 to 15 in the grounds of Hilton College, near Pietermaritzburg. The Jongosi Youth programme runs of September 13 and all enquiries are on accounts@hiltonfestival.co.za.
