Guitarist Nathan Smith will appear at the Rockwood
Theatre in Sibaya on September 18, 2019.
Paying tribute to the world’s greatest
singing guitar players, he will take audiences on a journey of classic guitar-driven songs from
the likes of Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Gary Moore, John Mayer, Santana, Pink
Floyd and more.
From the electrifying Parisienne Walkways
to acoustic icon Layla, audiences are sure to find themselves enjoying only the
best of these incredible artists.
Smith has performed his own music as well
as his collaboration works around South Africa and abroad. With highlights of
original compositions at Soccer World Cup events in 2010 and with Joseph Clark
– The Music of Queen, which
skyrocketed into countrywide tours and European tours including a single-handed
sold-out stadium show for 35,000 in Holland in 2012.
Session work and collaboration work with
top local and international artists include Ronan Keating; Richard Clayderman;
Riana Nel; Laurika Rauch; Steve Hofmeyr and Juanita Du Plessis. Not only has he
played for flagship live show productions like Skouspel, Afrikaans is groot etc. but Smith has also been part of
live TV performances/shows like The Voice,
Idols, Dancing with the Stars, Strictly
Come Dancing, Dis Hoe Dit Is Met Steve; Toks en Tjops, and was a member of
Die Musiek Frabriek on Noot Vir Noot. Nathan
