The Playhouse Company will hold auditions
for the 2019 Okwethu Community Arts Festival on October 4 in Kokstad and on
October 5 in Uvongo.
The genres: dance, poetry, music,
storytelling and theatre performance
The audition in the Greater Kokstad
Municipality takes place on October 4 from 09h00 to 16h30 in the Kokstad Youth
Centre
The audition in the Ray Nkonyeni
Municipality (Uvongo) takes place on October 5 from 09h00 to 16h30 in the
Uvongo Town Hall.
Aspirants who wish to participate in the
festival must register for auditions. Registration forms can be downloaded from
the Playhouse Company’s website at http://playhousecompany.com/auditions/
Only groups or individuals who have
registered will be allowed to audition. The duration for auditions will be five
minutes or less. Artists are required to submit profiles and registration forms
to Sithembiso Blose at artscoordinator2@playhousecompany.com or call 031 369
9467 during office hours. No walk-ins will be accommodated. It is therefore
essential to book your slot.
The Okwethu Community Arts Festival will be
held on December 6, 2019, at the Uvongo Town Hall, Ray Nkonyeni Municipality
and on December 7 in the Kokstad Youth Centre, Greater Kokstad Municipality.
