Riverbend Art & Wine’s annual exhibition The Games We Play, is running at the Gallery at Riverbend on the
South Coast until September 30, 2019.
"Unique, elegant and quirky concoctions of visual poetry" is
one of the statements used to describe Marke Meyer’s exquisite figurative
bronze sculpture.
The gallery is very excited to be presenting such a beautiful, large
body of his work!
Meyer has pioneered the use of suspension to best display his works and
to create the feeling of lightness, whimsy and freedom. He constantly reinvents
himself as an artist but always remains true to his narrative. He is an
innovator who constantly experiments with new concepts.
Expect chameleons, paper dolls, goldfish and apples - all playful and
quirky details found throughout his figurative work. Some of the works to be
exhibited are brand new Edition 1
pieces straight from the Foundry.
Meyer will be supported by fellow sculptor and friend Michael Cañadas
and painter Sarah Kelly.
