Little
Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Metaphors, a fairy
tale for the future, written by Mike van Graan, has one performance at the
Hilton Arts Festival this weekend. The show offers acerbic commentary on the
big bad wolves who threaten to eat our future.
Imagine the end of poverty. A world in
which no-one will go hungry. Where every child will have a decent high school
education. Climate change will be reversed. Violence against women eradicated.
And everyone will live long, productive lives. Utopia? Perhaps. But these are
just some of the goals set by world leaders to be achieved by 2030. This romp
through the “Sustainable Development Goals” will both entertain and educate.
Playwright Mike van Graan's "Little
Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad metaphors" offers an invitation to
dream with us…
Little
Red Riding Hood... received a Standard Bank Ovation
Award at the NAF. The production is directed by Khutjo Green, with set and
lighting design by Wilhelm Disbergen and costume design by Nomzamo Maseko.
Share in this raucous romp through the
SDG's at the Hilton Arts Festival on Saturday September 14, 2019, at 18h30 in
