STRICTLY COME DANCING FOR DURBAN

(Colin Penn and The Pennants)

Following the very popular trend in Japan, China, America, England and Australia well-known entrepreneur and musician Colin Penn is making sure that Durban is not left far behind.

Once a week “House Full” signs are going up for morning dances on a Wednesday. From 09h30 to 11h30, pensioners and retirees become involved in a really fun morning of gentle exercise, meeting people, doing the dances of their youth, the waltz, foxtrot, cha cha and good old fashioned rock ‘n roll, to their favourite songs of yesteryear played by Colin Penn and his Pennants.

“Do you remember the Paul Jones? If not come and find out! You will love it, particularly if you come without a partner. If you’re no Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers; so what! Just bring out all those nostalgic memories. Scrumptious morning tea eats and tea and coffee will be on sale,” says Penn.

The first dance is on November 6, 2019, at the Norwegian Hall, 214 St Thomas Road in Musgrave, Durban. Cost is only R20 and there is free off-road parking.W
