BUBLÉ AND BULSARA - JONOTHAN (JJ) DIDLICK

(Jonothan (JJ) Didlick)

Jonothan (JJ) Didlick returns to present Bublé and Bulsara, his one-man tribute to the music of two different icons and legends of the entertainment industry, Michael Bublé and Freddie Mercury, at the Rhumbelow Theatre Durban from November 22 to 24, 2019.

Didlick last performed in Durban in his tribute to Canadian superstar Michael Bublé and then relocated to Gauteng to perform as Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury, on The Barnyard Theatre circuit, a role he has filled for some six years and has just completed a run at The Barnyard Theatre’s Emperor’s Palace, in a show called One Vision.

Didlick is a fan of both artists’ music and passionate about these stars.

Vocally, they are very different singers and he enjoys the relaxed and casual manner in which Bublé performs his “big band” golden oldies, as well as his creative flair when performing his own compositions.

Freddie Mercury, on the other hand, is an entirely different kettle of fish, with his fantastic range and eccentric presentation style.

In this show, Didlick hopes to capture the essence of both artists’ talents, while at the same time, paying tribute to these two legends of modern music.

Expect to hear hits like Mack the Knife, Heartache Tonight, It’s a Kinda Magic, The Great Pretender, Sway, Tie your mother down, Everything, One Vision - he might even try Bohemian Rhapsody - with help from audience members as backing vocalists! The stadium classics will also feature: We are the Champions, We will Rock You and Another One Bites The Dust. Of course, there will be the common song performed by both artists: Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Bublé and Bulsara runs from November 22 to 24 with Friday and Saturday performances at 20h00 and Sunday show starting at 14h00. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner.
