(Doug
Weich)
Rhumbelow Theatre at Tina’s Hotel in Kloof
welcomes audiences to Las Vegas, where Elvis has definitely not left the
building and still reigns supreme as the King of rock n’ roll in the
entertainment capital.
Elvis
– Burning Love runs at Tina’s from December 4 to 8
and features Doug Weich as Elvis Presley.
Based in Ballito, KZN, Doug Weich realized
his calling to be an ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) from a very young age. Climbing
through the ranks, he has certainly cemented his place as one of the top ETAs
in South Africa. With his voice, moves, rhinestone-studded jumpsuits and
charisma, his shows are a must see.
The show gives a glimpse of what it was
like to watch the King of Rock n’ Roll in Las Vegas when he made his return to
live performances, starting from his debut in 1969 up until the late 1970’s.
Burning
Love is a show with all the glitz and glamour and
is packed with timeless classic hits of yesteryear that will keep the audience
thoroughly entertained for the full 90-minute performance.
(Calli
Thomson)
The spirit of Elvis is truly captured in
this Rocktainment Production, with Weich backed by a top-class professional
four-piece band: Calli Thomson (keyboards backing vocals); Dave Knott (lead guitar);
Francois Hardy (drums/backing vocals) and Jill Murraybrown (bass guitar).
This show is for audiences of all ages with
all-time favourites such as Hound Dog,
Blue Suede Shoes, Jailhouse Rock, It’s Now Or Never, Fever, Heartbreak Hotel,
