Performing tonight (November 23, 2019) at
Rocky Ridge in Ramsgate on the KZN South Coast will be Faye and Wren, a South
African group fronted by singer-songwriter duo, Wren Hinds and Faye Oakes.
The outfit has crafted an honest and
captivating sound performing on the African music scene and with their unique
shows and appearances they have harnessed a dedicated listener-ship.
Hinds & Oakes’ paths crossed in 2006 as
students of the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg which resulted in a
musical union and a lasting friendship between the two creatives. As much as
their influences, culture & backgrounds are diverse, it is without a doubt
that the duo’s meeting place is through music and connecting with their
audiences heart to heart.
Faye and Wren are considered a rare and
special force who effortlessly and elegantly embody a sound that captures a
timeless place accompanied by a sincere style of writing. The duo recently
released their second full album.
