All are invited to the opening of Phansi Museum's 2020 Calendar launch and African Art Centre Christmas shop, tomorrow (November 23) at 10h00. The museum readies the new year with their authentic annual calendar to distribute to schools and inform tourists and locals alike.
Phansi Museum and African Art Centre have joined forces to preserve, and
celebrate African culture, as well as contribute to the local economy. This
year, guests can experience a two-for-one experience as both institutions
launch events and items that are unique to their causes. Phansi Museum's annual
Art - Craft - Tradition calendar, which will be available to schools for
educational programmes, and guests are able to purchase them fresh from the
printers.
There are several fine artists that will be exhibiting in the Christmas
exhibition, as hosted by the African Art Centre in the Phansi Museum. Work by
Joseph Manana, Sibusiso Duma, Malibongwa Shangase, and Andile Ngcobo will be
available for purchase. Each artist has contributed immensely to the Durban art
scene, and their work is collectable, at accessible prices.
