The South African Society of Music Teachers in collaboration with Friends of Music will present the annual Rising Stars concert on December 3, 2019.

The Rising Stars recitals showcase the cream of the crop of KZN’s up and coming young performers and this year is no exception with a variety of instrumentalists including recorder, clarinet, piano and voice.

This year the evening will begin with a cello and piano duo as the "Prelude Performer”.

The eight performers will present their recitals from a wide range of works right across the various style periods that include composers such as Frescobaldi, Jacob, Eberl, Turina, Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, Schonberg, Lerner & Lowe, Faure, Mozart, etc.
