2019 SPLASH FESTIVAL

The Wild Coast Sun hails the start of the summer holidays in exuberant style with its Splash Festival from December 6 to 8, 2019. The resort will be a hive of activity, fun, food and entertainment for the whole family.

“The Wild Coast Sun Splash Festival is our opening event for the 2019 festive season. We love summer. We love holidays. We can’t wait to celebrate with our guests. The Wild Coast Sun Resort and Casino knows that a family holiday is made all the more special by incorporating experiences for the whole family to enjoy. This is what has made it one of South Africa’s best-loved holiday destinations,” says Sandi Burger, PR and Promotions Manager at the Wild Coast Sun.

Revelers will be blown away by live entertainment by John Skuy and an awe-inspiring display by the Fire Academy Dancers and a fire blower. Entrance to the opening event is free but sparklers will be on sale for R50 each, allowing visitors to become immersed in the lighting spectacular. Proceeds raised through the sale of the sparklers will be donated to charity.

Also on the Friday is an adults’ only comedy show, Sober Sex, featuring the outrageously funny, Ntosh Madlingozi and Andrew Hughes in the Tropical Nites Theatre. Tickets R150 pp.

On Saturday December 7, it is time for some wet and wild fun outdoors. In addition to the water rides, there will be an array of big and bold activities for all ages at the Wild Waves Water Park. For the little ones, there is fun galore including balloon sculptors, face painting, jumping castles and activities with Ola ice cream. There will also be a series of games such as volley ball, soccer, tug of war, dodge ball and Mobicel Trivia for a chance to win prizes like caps, umbrellas, cushions and one of two Mobicel phone hampers. Proving the soundtrack to the day’s festivities are The Love Connection featuring Metro FM DJ Ismail Abrahams and Motsweding FM Amon Mokoena (09h00 to 11h00 and again from 14h00 to 18h00) and two piece band, Just Magic (11h00 to 14h00).
