KZN Philharmonic Orchestra visited patients
and staff of King Edward Hospital to spread some Christmas cheer with a festive
evening concert on December 12, 2019. They were accompanied by the Assembly of
God Choir who sang various Christmas songs and carols ranging from Silent Night and Joy to the World to O Come
All Ye Faithful and Holy, Holy, Holy.
Mr Bongani Tembe, CEO and Artistic Director
of the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra said, “While Christmas is obviously a special
time of the year it can also be a difficult period for so many, especially
those who are ill and in hospital so we have put together a special programme
which we hope will put a few smiles on some faces while spreading some
Christmas cheer. We hope that this special concert will give hope and warm the
hearts of people who are sick and in hospital at this time.”
