Pietermaritzburg-born soprano, Bongiwe Madlala, will be
joined by international concert pianist, Christopher Duigan, for a Sunday Soiree at the glamorous new
Elephant & Co restaurant, situated at the Athlone Circle Centre in
Pietermaritzburg on December 29, 2019, at 18h00.
This delightful musical treat, combined with a delicious
dinner, is an evening not to be missed!
Music lovers can look forward to an entertaining performance
by star soprano, Bongiwe Madlala, singing Italian operatic arias from La Bohème, La Traviata and La
Wally, complemented by classical and traditional songs and seasonal music.
Madlala has become a firm favourite with local audiences, regularly appearing
on stage with Christopher Duigan at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall, the Hilton
Arts Festival and concerts at the Tatham Art Gallery as well as the PCB Gala
Dinner in November 2018.
Christopher Duigan’s performance will feature piano solos by
Chopin and Rachmaninoff, played on his grand piano which will be moved to the
venue for this special occasion.
Those lucky enough to secure a reservation for what promises
to be a magical evening, will be treated to a delicious two-course meal, which
includes a welcome drink and coffee, specially prepared by the Elephant &
Co Team.
Guests are asked to be seated by 18h00 for the evening meal
and the musical performance, which will start shortly thereafter. Tickets for
