Acclaimed potter Andrew Walford will still be showcasing his fine ceramics at the annual Easter Hot Pots and Hot Cross Buns from April 10 to 13, 2020.

Need a break from the chaos of the world? Come and unwind at Walford’s country studio overlooking the Shongweni Dam and Game Reserve. Admire the world class Zen-Zulu style ceramics in the eclectic studio and take home an individual piece of pottery to adorn your home.

Tea, coffee, homemade lemonade and hot cross buns will be served. the Studio is just 500 m past the Shongweni Farmers Market.

MORNING LESSONS
Is the art of throwing a pot on your bucket-list? Now you have the chance. Every Sunday going forward, Walford will hold a mornings lesson from 09h00 to 13h30, to teach you to throw a pot or bowl and learn brushwork techniques.

If you are already a potter, come and get in-depth tuition on pottery problems you may have encountered  along the way.

Cost R1,000 / person/morning (max 5 people per group).

POTTER’S LOFT AVAILABLE
Need a place to stay for the week-end or just get away for a while? The Walford Studio is also letting out its eclectic artists Potter’s Loft which adjoins the studio and is a self-contained retreat.
ZAR 7,000 per month, including water. Electricity on a pay-as-you-go-meter.

Two bedrooms (one loft bedroom overlooking Shongweni Dam and nature reserve), lounge, kitchen and separate bathroom.
