KZN raised and co-business owner, Nepheritie, makes social impact and change in South Africa.

Raised in the close-knit Indian community of Merebank in KwaZulu-Natal, Nepheritie Jade Naidoo, drew upon inspiration from her great grandparents in aspiring to connect her passion for social community and her love for art to make a change in society.

“I joined the art industry three years ago upon concluding business dealings with David, my now social development business partner. I was instantly drawn to challenged artists and discovered that I was able to use my skills in the field of Neuro Linguistics in Behavioral Programming to help them become even better versions of them self.”

This was the beginning of her introduction of the concept of giving back and through it the Red! Gala Charity Auctions was birthed.

She elaborates; “We have an auction every three months. They’re generally a win for everybody, especially the buyers,” she says. “Giving younger collectors, first time buyers and art enthusiasts an opportunity to acquire art at a good deal.”

A portion of all RED! The Gallery auction proceeds always go to a charity since Nepheritie has been involved.

These have included The Roxy Davis Foundation. A percentage of proceeds of the upcoming event will go to The Spirit Foundation, which raises money for educating underprivileged children inspiring them to unlock the artist within. Ian Kilbride is chairman and co-founder of The Spirit Foundation, which was set up as a charitable educational trust in 1994.
