Available online from this year’s Hilton Arts Festival’s Virtual Celebration Of The Arts is a fascinating extract (vignette) from a production entitled Green Screen. This two-hander which is still in development will be staged in full at the 2021 Festival.
Featuring well known, veteran South African actors Fiona Ramsay and Graham Hopkins, the production is directed by Bobby Heaney. What more could one ask for? This team is veritable acting and directing royalty in this country.
Two actors, who are a married couple in their late middle-age, are in the process of filming a commercial for a retirement home. On the surface they are respectable couple who have lived unremarkable lives. But is this true? During the course of the play, they both reveal incidents from their pasts which may show something very different.
