BURNING LOVE FOR RHUMBELOW

(Doug Weich)

Doug Weich will present his Elvis Presley tribute show, Burning Love, at Rhumbelow Theatre in Durban from November 13 to 15, 2020.

Based in Ballito, KZN, Weich realised his calling to be an ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) from a very young age. Climbing through the ranks, he has certainly cemented his place as one of the top ETA’s in South Africa. With his voice, moves, rhinestone-studded jumpsuits and charisma, his shows are a must see.

Welcome to Las Vegas, where Elvis has definitely not left the building, and still reigns supreme as the King of rock n’ roll in the entertainment capital of the world.

The show gives audiences a glimpse of what it was like to watch the King of Rock n’ Roll in Las Vegas when he made his return to live performances, starting from his debut in 1969 up until the late 1970’s

Burning Love is a show with all the glitz and glamour and is packed with timeless classic hits of yesteryear that will keep the audience thoroughly entertained for the full 90min performance.

The spirit of Elvis is truly captured in this Rocktainment Production, featuring Doug Weich as Elvis and backed by an outstanding professional four piece band featuring Evan Cullum (keyboards backing vocals); Dave Knott (lead guitar); Francois Hardy (drums backing vocals) and Nico Badenhorst (bass guitar).

Join Rhumbelow for an exhilarating show, a night to remember, as they take you on a journey down memory lane and re- live the Vegas years and pay tribute to one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

This show is for audiences of all ages and not to be missed, with all-time favourites such as Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Jailhouse Rock, It’s Now Or Never, Fever, Heartbreak Hotel, Johnny B. Goode and Suspicious Minds, just to name a few.

Shows take place on Friday and Saturday, November 13 and 14, at 19h30 and on Sunday November 15 at 14h00. (Venue opens 90 minutes before show for snacks/drinks)
