The third production this coming weekend in OnStage@Altitude’s current season of one-off performances will be Flame In The Snow which can be seen on March 28, 2021.

Directed by Bryan Hiles and starring Cara Roberts and Mpilo Nzimande, the production debuted at this venue in November 2020.

In a telegram sent on April 29, 1963, Ingrid Jonker thanks Andre Brink for his letter and flowers. They had met a few days before. He was almost 28, she 30. This was the beginning of a correspondence between two writers that lasted up until three months before Jonker drowned herself at Three Anchor Bay.

Over half a century later, read and performed by Cara Roberts and Mpilo Nzimande, selected letters between Andre and Ingrid bring to light their passion, their heartache, and their ultimate devastation as this gripping love affair unfolds.
