SEEKING WILD FOR ONSTAGE@ALTITUDE

(Darren King)

The third production this coming weekend in OnStage@Altitude’s season of one-off performances will be Seeking Wild which can be seen on March 27.

Written by Christopher Durang, the production stars award-winning actor and performer, Darren King.

We all spend our lives hoping to find happiness and fulfilment, rarely do we openly admit to our insecurities or fear of failure. In this 50-minute one-man monologue, we are often amused sometimes moved but never bored as we watch this character trying to explain his own personal quest for happiness or at the very least a sense of peace with the world in which he lives.

From Personality workshops to Religion, from the healing powers of crystals to the need to feel empathy for his fellow man. We all identify with his sense of desperation to find answers to some of the questions we all face as adults in an out of control world. From the simplest of tasks like buying a tin of Tuna fish to the unanswerable problems of the Aids epidemic, watch as our hero grapples to keep himself sane as he seeks wildly for answers.

Seeking Wild has one performance on Saturday, March 27. Doors open at 18h00 and show is scheduled to start at 19h30. Patrons are welcome to bring snacks/eats. A cash bar is available.

Performances will be limited to 50 audience members in line with Covid regulations, and the venue is sanitised before and after each performance. The show can also be booked for corporate events, with the same maximum seating capacity.
