The Englewood Soweto Exchange a jazz and hip hop cross-cultural collaboration will launch this month on May 22, 2021.
The band comprises Ernest Dawkins (sax), Neil Gonsalves (piano), Freeman Gumede (bass), Sibusiso Zondi (drums), Thabo Sikhakhane (trumpet), Zoe The Seed (vocals)and Memphis the Rapper. The South African and Chicago-based musicians collaborated to produce - We Want Our land Back: The Englewood Soweto Exchange with Ernest Dawkins
The launch of The Englewood Soweto Exchange takes place on May 22, 2021, at 12h30 at KCAP (Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre) in Kwa Mashu.
