Top African movies from Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania will now be available on the new DStv channel Maisha Magic Movies. Local audiences on DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact can enjoy action, drama and thrillers from the East African countries. Maisha Magic Movies will be available on DStv channel 141 from Monday, July 26, 2021.
The channel offers an exciting blend of bold authentic African movies by African producers and talent with stories that excite and resonate with the audience. The unique content offering is inspired by the Ugandan, Kenyan and Tanzanian markets and will be available across the African continent.
The channel will showcase Africa’s honest modern-day view of our diverse movie industry and talent.

Richard Mulindwa is an award-winning and most-nominated director and producer in Uganda’s movie industry. He started his career in 2006 and got his biggest career break in 2011 through his movie With Cindy and later in 2016 with Freedom Movie that scooped numerous awards both locally and internationally.
Kang’ethe Mungai is a film producer, director and scriptwriter from Kenya. His notable films include the multi-award-winning World Tofauti that featured Avril (Judith Nyambura), one of Kenya’s top singers, songwriter and actress as well as prolific award-winning actor Innocent Njuguna. Who can forget the riveting action in Uradi (2020), which featured Kenya’s top actors such as Robert Agengo, Peter Kawa, Mwaura Bilal and Shiks Kapyenga.
